Pink Shirt Da y on Wednesday February 28th was such a success. We had a fantastic, positive assembly with some students form William D. Pratt school.  We discussed the importance of kindness and what that looks and sounds like. Officer Will was here to share the importance of sticking up for our peers who might be being bullied and that we as students can make a difference.  Students from Pratt them helped us make our own pink shirts which are on display in the gathering area.  Some of our thoughts on bullying..... Math  Making apple boxes of 20 using 2 different colours, how many different ways can you make 20?   We graphed our results of making 20. In the spirit of the Olympics..... Students created mosaic torches to show their support and enthusiasm.  Evergreen Theatre Today we had a special presentation "The Sinking Island" from Evergreen Theatre.  We were entertained and informed about the growing amount of pollutants and plastics in our waterways.  Ask me about?  What was your favourite part of the show and why?  Why is it important to take care of our water?  How can you help? Math Today we looked at the apple box problem. We discussed how many different ways to make apple boxes of ten using some green and some red apples.  How many ways did you come up with?  Were any of your answers the same?  Why?  Inquiry We are discussing and debating services in our community.
