                       Stephen’s Backpacks Royal Oak Students are supporting Stephen’s Backpacks this holiday season. Stephen’s Backpacks is an organization that was started in Airdrie by a young boy who thought it wasn’t fair that he received so much for Christmas when other children didn’t even have a bed to sleep in. The backpacks this year are for children who range in age from infant to grade 3. We are looking for donations of new items that can go inside of a backpack (toques, mitts, puzzles, pyjamas, socks, baby items, shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, etc.). These items can be brought to school with your child and they will be placed under the tree in the gathering space. We will begin collecting items in the gathering space beginning on Monday, November 13th and will be accepting donations until Wednesday, December 6th. Link to Stephen’s Back...

Inquiry ** shoe boxes are needed!!  We will be building enclosures for our chosen animal. We need each student to bring in 1 shoe box to act as the back drop for their project (if you have extra send them too!) We are exploring websites such as pebble go and Life Science. Skating Hello Royal Oak School Parents and Guardians! Your son and/or daughter will be bringing home a letter soon telling you about our Skating Activity that will take place March 14, 15 and 16 th . We are looking for several volunteers to help with tying skates, assisting on the ice, walking with classes from the school to the outdoor rink and helping with the skate shack. We are very fortunate to have booked the KidSport skate shack and we will need a few volunteers organizing and managing the skates and helmets.
